Localization Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join our technical team at PTIGlobal as a Localization Engineer and provide expertise in localizing documentation, web and software projects across multiple languages and technologies. We will train on localization-specific tasks, if necessary.
Job responsibilities include:
Analyzing project content for localization Providing engineering quotes Preparing translation kits Re-engineering localized files Engineering validation of files Providing bug fixing support for QA team Working closely with internal localization team and external clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of graphics editing tools such as Adobe PhotoShop Expertise with Microsoft Office products Experience with helpauthoring tools, such as RoboHelp, for Html and Webhelp projects Knowledge of markup languages (XML, HTML, XLIFF) Experience with modern localization tools (Catalyst, Passolo, Multilizer) Ideally experienced in troubleshooting and resolving internationalization and localization issues Ideally experienced with localization tools and translation memory (SDLTrados) Experience using Flash Experience using Visual Studio on resource files Knowledge of the localization industry and methodology a huge plus Fluency in a foreign language desired, but not required Bachelor’s Degree
