Protecting your reputation and preventing liabilities

All too frequently, translation errors arise due to lack of context or lack of terminology lists, among other issues. In these cases, how can you be sure that your clinical trials or user interface translated into a language like Japanese or Hebrew are, at the very least, accurate and consistent? Linguistic testing is an important part of the localization process as it is often the first time a third-party eye will see the localized product in context. With our linguistic verification process, we address the following issues:

  • Target content is conceptually equivalent to the source
  • Grammar, spelling, and punctuation adhere to target language rules
  • Translation is clear and concise, and follows established style guides
  • Translated text has the same impact as the source
  • Translated text and images are culturally appropriate
  • Translation adheres to country conventions (date, time, weights and measures, decimals, etc.)
  • Terminology is applied correctly for the domain, is current, and is in use in the target country
  • Terminology in the text matches terms in the screen captures
  • Terms adhere to approved terminology lists and glossaries
  • Legal trademarks and branding in the localized text follow customer guidelines
