PTI Global

Strategic Global Alliance: Ready to Support Worldwide Projects

PTIGlobal is the founding member and lead organizational partner of the Strategic Global Alliance (SGA), a group of seven localization companies located worldwide with similar business practices. The Strategic Global Alliance combines broad capabilities with a global presence to support multinational customer requirements. The Strategic Global Alliance exceeds the size of some of the industry’s top localization companies. Our clients can take advantage of the strategic location of individual member companies, which can respond rapidly to local requests, while providing the big company robustness needed to support a wide variety of complex project parameters. Projects can now be sited where they make the most sense from a skills, cost, and management point of view.

The Strategic Global Alliance (SGA) has administrative offices and production centers located throughout Asia, Europe, and Latin America, specifically in China, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, UK, Argentina, Guatemala, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Russia, and Bulgaria.

The SGA is able to provide as-needed global support for the entire process of localization, including engineering, digital publishing, translation (machine and human), QA testing, multimedia and marketing, and multilingual brand management.

A cohesive, Alliance-wide Quality Management System assures consistency in quality, regardless of geography.

Enhanced Localization with the Strategic Global Alliance

The Strategic Global Alliance has the ability to provide a global approach to complex projects as they arise. Each member of the SGA has been qualified as a partner to meet the same high levels for security, technology, efficiency, and quality requirements.

In the event that project support is required from multiple regions, PTIGlobal acts as the primary contact and follows a prescribed process:

  • Each project is assigned a Global Production Manager (GPM). The role of the GPM is to not only be the vital link between PTIGlobal and the client’s team, but also between the specific regional partner and the global PTIGlobal teams.
  • The GPM develops a project plan, taking into account cost, capability, capacity, and location/time zone requirements.
  • Although the client interfaces directly with the production team in the local region, the GPM adds value as an escalation point for scheduling, quality, and budgeting issues.
  • The SGA uses common tools, including PTIGlobal’s proprietary Online Translation Information System (OTIS), a project management system that enables consistency in data reporting and project tracking. In addition, each member of the SGA subscribes to a similar Quality Management System, assuring consistency in quality and support, regardless of production site.
