Linguistic QA Testers
Position Profile:
The Linguist QA Tester completes assigned linguistic quality assurance and translation/editing tasks for translation projects. The Linguist QA Tester ensures that quality work is delivered and task deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
Perform linguistic quality assurance tasks in multiple languages Interact and coordinate with external and internal resources for execution of work for multiple projects & languages Research and resolve language issues for internal team and client as required Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner Discover and report defects Work with production team to implement linguistic solutions Adhere to documented quality standards, trademarks, style guides and client-specific checklists Provide feedback to other team members Set up PC-based test environments Install and configure various versions of localized operating systems Other production tasks as required
Qualifications:
Native fluency in at least one of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and/or Traditional), Finnish, Turkish, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Euro), Portuguese (Brazil), Hungarian, Korean, French, Dutch, Italian, Danish, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Czech, Greek, Swedish, Russian, German, Norwegian, Indonesian, Polish High-level English fluency Proficient computer skills Minimum 2 years experience in the translation industry (preferred) Proven QA skills for technical documentation Strong organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, teamwork-oriented & deadline-driven environment Local to Portland, OR area preferred
